Marshfield girls basketball holds off Eau Claire North

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls basketball team got back on the winning track with a 51-43 nonconference victory over Eau Claire North on Tuesday night at Marshfield High School.

Three days after the Tigers had a seven-game winning streak snapped at Waunakee on Saturday, Marshfield outscored North by four points in each half to grab the win and improve to 15-2 this season.

McKayla Scheuer had 20 points and six rebounds, and Ema Fehrenbach made 9 of 10 free throws to total 13 points for the Tigers.

Mattea Peplinski had 10 points for Eau Claire North (8-7).

Marshfield hosts Stevens Point on Friday as part of a girls-boys doubleheader. The girls game starts at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
