ATHENS – The Auburndale girls basketball team pushed its winning streak to 13 games with a dominating 67-12 victory over Athens on Tuesday night at Athens High School.
Ten different Apaches scored in the win, which pushes Auburndale’s record to 19-2.
Paiton Richardson and Taylor Gotz were each 9 of 13 from the field and both scored 18 points for Auburndale. Gotz added 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Auburndale, which finished in a three-way tie for the Marawood Conference South Division title, hosts Abbotsford in the third-place game of the conference’s North-South crossovers on Friday at 7:15 p.m. to wrap up its regular-season schedule.
