AUBURNDALE – Auburndale led 8-6 after six innings, but Athens rallied with a seven-run seventh and knocked off the Apaches 13-10 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale scored twice in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t get any closer.
Kyle Willfahrt was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, and Trae Hilgart hit a home run and had three RBIs for Auburndale in the loss. The Apaches fall to 2-16 this season.
Auburndale hosts Marathon on Tuesday.
