Auburndale girls basketball extends win streak to 14 with rout of Abbotsford

AUBURNDALE – Ten different Auburndale players scored as the Apaches cruised to a 62-22 victory over Abbotsford in the third-place game of the Marawood Conference North-South Crossovers as each girls basketball teams finished off its regular-season schedule Friday night at Auburndale High School.

Taylor Gotz had 17 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists, and Paiton Richardson had 14 points and five steals for the Apaches, who head into the playoffs on a 14-game winning streak and with a 20-2 record.

Brooke Anderson added eight points for Auburndale.

The Apaches will host a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal on Friday, Feb. 26, against the winner of Tuesday’s game between Menominee Indian and Oconto.
