MARSHFIELD – Marshfield’s Calden Wojt won two events and Nate Beyer won another to lift the Marshfield Orange team to the team title at the 2016 Marshfield Boys Track Indoor Invitational on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
Wojt won the 220-yard run in 24.81 seconds and the 440 in 55.70 seconds, to help Marshfield Orange, which finished with 112.5 points, 20.5 more than Medford.
Stratford tied Pittsville for fourth with 48 points and Auburndale was 11th with 24 points.
Beyer won the 60-yard hurdles in 8.83 seconds and also placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 7½ inches.
Nick Hoheisel had a pair of top-three finishes for Marshfield, taking second in the long jump (17-11) and third in the 60-yard dash (6.87 seconds).
Marshfield had two other individuals place second. Jacob Dick took second in the 2-mile run (12:03.62) and Bryce Null was second in the 880 (2:15.99).
The Marshfield Orange team also won the 1,600 relay (4:02.60), was second in the 640 relay 91:15.640, and took third in the 3,200 relay (9:39.50).
Auburndale’s Nick Steele earned the Apaches’ lone victory, taking first in the long jump with a leap of 18-3½.
Dylan Peplinski was second in the 60 with a time of 6.84 seconds, and Gage Stoflet took fourth in the 440 (1:00.76) for Auburndale.
Stratford’s only individual win came in the pole vault where John Geissinger won with a vault of 11 feet.
Jacob Leick was third in the high jump (5-4) and Kyler Haupt took third in the long jump (17-4) for Stratford.
