STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield girls track team finished fourth and the boys ended up sixth at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Indoor Track Meet on Tuesday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Stevens Point swept the team titles, with the D.C. Everest boys and Wausau West girls finishing second.
The Marshfield girls had a number of top-five finishes.
Meg Bryan took third in the triple jump (34 feet, 6 inches), Katie Osinski was fourth in the shot put (33-10), Maddie Nikolai was fourth in the 55-yard hurdles (9.86 seconds) and the 200 hurdles (32.58), Shantel Nienast was fifth in the high jump (4-6), and Alexa Aumann took fifth in the 400 (1:03.27) for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s 1,600 relay team was third (4:23.51), the 800 relay team was fourth (1:54.93), and the 3,200 relay took fifth (11:40.10).
On the boys side, Marshfield had just one top-five individual finish as Calden Wojt took fourth in the 400 in 52.57 seconds. The Tigers 3,200 relay team took fourth in 9:06.07.
