The postseason brackets for Division 2, 3 and 4 teams for the upcoming WIAA baseball and softball playoffs have been released.
Regional quarterfinals in softball are Thursday, May 27, with regional semifinals on June 1, regional finals on June 3, sectional semifinals on June 8 and sectional finals on June 11.
Baseball regional quarterfinals are Friday, May 28, with regional semifinals June 1, regional finals June 2 and sectional semifinals and finals set for June 8.
The WIAA state softball tournament is June 17-19 at the Goodman Diamonds on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. The WIAA state baseball touranment is June 15-17 at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton.
Stratford (17-1), champions of the Marawood Conference South Division, have been rewarded with a No. 1 seed and a bye in the Division 3 Stratford sectional. The Tigers will play the winner of No. 5 Auburndale (5-14) and No. 4 Edgar (4-9). The Apaches will play at Edgar on May 27.
In Division 4 softball, Spencer (10-5) is a No. 2 seed and also earned a bye. The Rockets will host the winner of the Loyal-Abbotsford game on June 1 at 4:30 p.m.
Marshfield Columbus Catholic (5-8) is a No. 5 seed in the same bracket of the Wausau West sectional, and will play at No. 4 Greenwood (11-7) on May 27.
Three of the four of the schools’ baseball teams in Divisions 3 and 4 earned No. 5 seeds and will open with regional quarterfinal games on the road on May 28.
In Division 3, No. 5 Auburndale (2-17) is at No. 4 Amherst with the winner playing at Stevens Point Pacelli on June 1.
Also in Division 3, Stratford (9-9) is a No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Cadott on May 28 at 4:30 p.m. The winner plays at No. 1 Stanley-Boyd on June 1.
In Division 4, Marshfield Columbus Catholic (1-10) is a No. 5 seed and plays at No. 4 Tigerton on May 28. Spencer is a No. 5 seed in a different regional of the same Abbotsford sectional bracket. The Rockets (3-9) will play at No. 4 Owen-Withee in their playoff opener.
The Division 1 brackets for baseball and softball, which will include Marshfield, will be announced May 27. Play begins in Division 1 regionals on June 1.
