MARSHFIELD – Alyssa Ede went 4-for-4, scored three times and drove in two runs to help the Marshfield softball team to a commanding 14-4 win over Wausau West in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
Marshfield had 17 hits in all as eight of the nine batters in the lineup had at least one hit, scored at least one run and had at least one RBI in the victory.
Kaitlyn Konrardy earned the win on the mound and had two hits and two RBIs for the Tigers. Jenna Jakobi and Emily Draeger each had three hits.
Megan Donahue, Lexi Dupee and Rhiannon Corozolla had RBIs in the first inning, Draeger and Donahue hit back-to-back home runs in the second, Konrardy drove in two runs with a single in the third, and Ede had a two-run single in the fourth to pace the Tigers’ offense.
Marshfield (7-8, 3-4 Wisconsin Valley Conference) will play a nonconference doubleheader at Antigo on Saturday.
