MARSHFIELD – Bailey Keffer threw a two-hit shutout to lift the Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team to a 4-0 victory over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at Jack Hackman Field.
Keffer struck out nine and walked three to earn the win for the Dons, who are now 6-7 overall and 6-6 in the Cloverbelt East. Granton drops to 0-13 and 0-12 in the conference.
The game was low scoring compared to the first matchup between the two teams, when Columbus Catholic won 25-15 back on April 21.
Matthias Gouin went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Dons.
Columbus Catholic plays at doubleheader at Owen-Withee on Friday starting at 3:30 p.m.
