WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield boys and girls track teams each finished second at the Heather Johnson Invitational on Friday at Wisconsin Dells High School.
Calden Wojt won the 100 meters in 11.44 seconds and the 200 in 22.99, and Skyler Theisen took first in the 300 hurdles (44.09) for the Marshfield boys, which ended up with 96.5 points, second only to DeForest’s 113.
Carter Chojnacki took second (10:46.22) and Jordan Dzikowich was third (10:54.39) in the 3,200, and Adam Maki was second (9 feet, 6 inches) and Dawson Tysver third (9-6) in the pole vault for Marshfield’s other top finishes.
On the girls side, Marshfield had 102.33 points to finish second behind DeForest, which had 124.5.
Alexa Aumann had Marshfield’s lone win, taking first in the 400 in 1:02.80. Teammate Courtney Brown was second in 1:03.30.
Amy Martorano was second in the discus (105-4), and Maddie Nikolai took third in the 300 hurdles (53.61) and the triple jump (31-2) for Marshfield’s other top individual finishes.
The Tigers also took second in the 400 and 800 relays and third in the 1,600 relay.
Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet on Tuesday at Wausau West.
