Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps two matches at Neillsville triangular

NEILLSVILLE – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team won a pair of matches in a triangular meet at Neillsville High School on Thursday night.

The Dons beat Neillsville 25-23, 25-13, and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 29-27, 25-13.

Kendra Baierl had 21 kills and eight blocks, Celine Scholin added 12 kills, and setters Natalie Pospyhalla and Jennifer Reigel had 24 and 16 assists, respectively.

Defensively, Katie Hall had 18 digs, Sierra Litwatis had 17, and Brooke Neider added 16 for the Dons.

“When we pass and serve well, we do awesome,” Columbus coach Kat Egle said. “The team is doing a great job of quickening up the offense.”

Columbus will play at the Nekoosa Invitational on Saturday.
