Columbus Catholic soccer routs Northland Lutheran for sixth win in a row

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team dominated Northland Lutheran to post its sixth-straight victory as it beat the Wildcats 7-1 on Thursday at Griese Park.

The Dons (6-0, 2-0 Mid-State Soccer Conference) outshot Northland Lutheran 45-6 overall and 23-4 on goal.

Ryan Dieringer scored twice, both on assists from Nadim Torbey; Torbey scored twice as well; and Charles Payant, Tyler Fuerlinger and Nick Malovrh also had goals for the Dons.

Malovrh, Fuerlinger and Calvin Brown added assists for Columbus.

The Dons return to action Tuesday with a Mid-State Soccer Conference game at Stevens Point Pacelli.
