MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Fastpitch softball teams will be holding practices and tryouts for its 2017 youth tournament teams in September.
Teams for the six age groups – 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U – will be formed following the official tryouts. Ages are based on child’s age as of Jan. 1, 2017.
Practice sessions will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Reeths Field and Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Marshfield Fairgrounds. Practices for 8U and 10U teams are from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and for all other teams from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tryouts will be on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Marshfield Fairgrounds. A rain date of Sept. 25 has also been set. The 8U and 10U tryouts will be from noon to 1:30 p.m.; the 12U tryout is from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.; the 14U tryout will be from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and the 16U and 18U tryouts are from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Each team will be playing at least five tournaments next summer, and three of the teams will be playing in Nationals.
