MERRILL – Merrill’s Kelcey Hein scored at the 9:45 mark of the first half and the goal stood up as the Bluejays beat Marshfield 1-0 in a nonconference girls soccer game Tuesday.
Marshfield outshot Merrill 6-2 but couldn’t get one past Bluejays goalie Breigha Bienfang-Jonas. Marshfield also missed on a penalty kick.
Tiger soccer drop another close battle to Merrill 1-0. The inability of Marshfield
to finish scoring opportunities really haunted the Tigers Tuesday night. The Tigers
had 6 shots on goal compared to only 2 for Merrill but Senior Kelcey Hein raced
Marshfield (3-17-2) finishes its regular season Thursday at Stevens Point.
