MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls soccer team will open its postseason with a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal at Rhinelander on Thursday, June 3 at 5:30 p.m.
The Tigers (3-17-2) lost two close games to Rhinelander during the Wisconsin Valley Conference season. Rhinelander won 2-1 on May 18, scoring a goal with just 12 seconds remaining in the game. Back on April 22, the Hodags downed Marshfield 3-2 in double overtime.
The complete WIAA girls soccer brackets have not been released to the public as of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Marshfield wraps up its regular season with a game at Stevens Point on Thursday.
