Columbus Catholic soccer shuts out Pacelli

STEVENS POINT – The train keeps on rolling for the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team.

The Dons held Stevens Point Pacelli to just one shot on goal and blanked the Cardinals 6-0 in a Mid-State Soccer Conference game Tuesday at the Portage County Soccer Complex.

Columbus is now 11-0 overall and 6-0 in the Mid-State after completing the first round of conference games. The Dons will host Wisconsin Valley Lutheran at 5 p.m. Thursday at Griese Park in another conference tilt.

Nick Malovrh scored in the sixth and 21st minutes to get the Dons off an runner.

Nadim Torbey and Ryan Dieringer added goals in the first half, and Tyler Fuerlinger also scored for the Dons. The final score was a Pacelli own goal in the 59th minute.
