STRATFORD – The Stratford football team stayed in control of the Marawood Conference by whipping Rib Lake/Prentice 35-0 in a conference tilt Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers are now 5-1 overall and 5-0 in the Marawood and maintains a one-game lead over Marathon, a team it defeated back on Aug. 26, in the conference standings. Rib Lake/Prentice falls to 4-2 overall and in the conference, and is tied with Edgar for third in the conference after Marathon beat Edgar 21-9 on Friday.
Kam Bornbach ran for 158 yards and three touchdowns (45, 4 and 8 yards), and also recovered two fumbles on defense for Stratford. Jordan Becker and Kade Ehrike added rushing touchdowns for the Tigers.
Stratford limited Rib Lake to 196 total yards and four total turnovers. Eli Drexler and David Marquardt intercepted passes for the Tigers.
Stratford hosts Auburndale next Friday.
