MARSHFIELD – Marshfield scored three times in the second period and held on for a 4-1 win over Medford in a nonconference boys hockey game Friday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Nate Boson and Justin Stanek scored a minute apart to make it 3-0 before Medford answered.

However, a goal by Wellens on a power play with 2:13 to go in the period gave Marshfield a 4-1 lead that stood for the rest of the game.
