WAUSAU – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team fell behind early and could not catch up, losing to UW-Marathon County 102-62 in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division game Wednesday night.
UW-Marathon led 37-24 at halftime before blowing the game open with a 65-point second half.
Danny Baratka scored 24 points to lead the Huskies (10-8 overall, 7-2 WCC West).
Joseph Estrict had 21 points and 11 rebounds for UW-Marshfield (5-10, 3-4 WCC West).
The Marauders host UW-Rock County at 2 p.m. Saturday.
