MARSHFIELD – Marshfield made seven 3-pointers on its way to its fourth win a row as the Tigers beat Wausau East 62-48 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys basketball game Friday night at Marshfield High School.
Alec Hinson hit three 3-pointers and scored 16 points, and Grant Michaelis and Seth Anderson each chipped in 15 points for the Tigers, who are now 11-8 overall and 7-4 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
East is now 11-5 and 5-4 in the WVC after Marshfield beat them for the second time in a week.
Marshfield shot 48 percent (24 of 50) from the field and had assists on 16 of those makes, including five from Hinson.
Marshfield plays a nonconference game at Rhinelander on Tuesday.
