LOYAL – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team was swept by Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division doubleheader Thursday at Loyal High School.
Loyal (4-3, 4-1 Cloverbelt East) won 12-2 and 13-2, with both games ending after six innings due to the 10-run rule.
The Dons were held to two hits in the opener and had just six hits in the second game.
Columbus (1-6, 0-6 Cloverbelt East) pitchers combined to walk 29 batters in the two games.
Morgan Reinwand was the winning pitcher in Game 2 for the Greyounds, and also hit a home run in the game.
The Dons play at Spencer on Monday.
