PITTSVILLE – Val Licciardi tossed a three-inning no-hitter and Stratford scored 16 runs in the opening inning on its way to an 18-0 victory over Pittsville on Thursday.
Licciardi struck out two and walked two in the Tigers’ victory.
Stratford is now 10-6 overall and 5-3 in the Marawood Conference South Division. Pittsville falls to 0-14 and 0-10 in the conference.
Stratford’s leadoff hitter, Brittany Bredemann, was 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and six RBIs. Sammy Kaiser, Cassidy Vanderleest and Shalynn Griesmer all had two RBIs as well for the Tigers.
Stratford hosts Marathon on Friday at 4:45 p.m. at Hilgemann Field.
