MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Post 54 American Legion Junior Blue Devils split a pair of games with Stevens Point on Thursday at Jack Hackman Field.
Marshfield lost 11-0 before bouncing back for a 3-2 win to move to 2-2 this season.
Marshfield was held to just three hits in the 11-0 loss as Point ended the game in five innings via the 10-run rule.
Ryan Krueger earned the victory in second game, striking out five and walking just one in six innings for the Junior Devils. He also had two hits and scored a run.
Caden Schilinger added an RBI double for Marshfield (2-2).
Marshfield returns to action Tuesday at home for a doubleheader against Plover. The Marshfield varsity team opens its season at 7 p.m. Sunday at home against D.C. Everest.
