MILWAUKEE – The 35th annual WIAA State Girls Soccer Tournament was held Thursday, June 15, through Saturday, June 17, at Uihlein Soccer Park.
The four championship games were held June 17.
Brookfield Central won its fifth Division 1 state championship, beating Bay Port 3-0. Central’s other titles came with a four-peat from 2002-05.
Whitefish Bay took the Division 2 title, beating Wauwatosa East 5-1. This is Whitefish Bay’s eighth state title, and first since 2000.
In Division 3, Waukesha Catholic Memorial blanked Winneconne 4-0 to win its seventh state title in eight seasons, and sixth straight championship. Memorial won Division 2 titles in 2010, 2012, and 2013, and captured its fourth D-3 title in a row with the victory.
Brookfield Academy won its first WIAA state girls soccer title with a 1-0 win over Lake Country Lutheran/University Lake School in the Division 4 championship.
