Marshfield senior Myranda Schmitt was the lone Tiger named to first two teams of the 2010 All-Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Soccer Team.
Schmitt didn’t score a goal in conference play, but helped a Tigers’ defense that allowed just over three goals a game.
Marshfield, which finished 0-12 in the conference after losing four games by one goal, had a pair of players earning honorable mention accolades.
Junior Alyssa Brenner and freshman Allison Gruen, who led Marshfield with three goals, were honorable mention picks.
Wausau East’s Generve Charles, who tied Stevens Point’s Danielle Thomason for the WVC lead in points with 28 (12 goals, four assists), was named the Wisconsin Valley Conference Player of the Year.
East had four first-team picks after winning its second straight Valley title with a 10-0-2 record.
