APPLETON – The Marshfield JV football team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 10-7 in double overtime to Appleton West on Monday at West High School.
Jace Langmeyer scored a touchdown in the first quarter, which was set up by a long pass play from Joey Goettl to Sam Hinson.
Riley Boushack had a pair of interceptions and Caleb Specht had another, and the Tigers (1-1) had a number of sacks in the loss.
Marshfield’s next game is Tuesday, Sept. 5, at home against Hortonville. Game time at Beell Stadium is 6 p.m.
