MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield volleyball team was 3-2 and finished second at its annual home Marshfield Invitational on Saturday.
The Tigers beat Ashwaubenon 26-24, 18-25, 15-8, Rhinelander 25-20, 25-22, and Prescott 20-25, 25-22, 15-11. Marshfield lost to Superior 25-19, 25-22 and Eau Claire Regis 25-12, 25-21.
Superior beat Regis to win the tournament title with a 4-1 record.
Karly Nikolai had 30 kills, Hannah Meverden added 21 kills, and Jordyn Wilcott had 20 kills and 37 digs for Marshfield.
Setter Corianne Johnson piled up 106 assists and 38 digs, and libero Kaydee Johnson had 64 digs for the Tigers.
Marshfield returns to Wisconsin Valley Conference action Thursday at Stevens Point.
