HOLMEN – The Marshfield football team qualified for the playoffs for the first time in three years, but its postseason hopes ended quickly.
Holmen stymied the Marshfield offense and pitched a 34-0 shutout in a WIAA Division 2 Level 1 game Friday night at Holmen High School.
The Tigers end the season with a 6-4 record.
Holmen (8-2) moves on to a Level 2 game Oct. 27 at No. 1 seed Menomonie (10-0).
