STRATFORD – Stratford broke open a tie game with a big second half and pulled past Edgar 49-34 in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Monday night at Stratford High School.
Edgar is now 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the Marawood South, while Stratford was playing its season-opener.
Kaylee Hollatz had nine of her team-high 14 points in the second-half run, and Chelsey Gliniecki scored 12 points and had 12 rebounds for the Tigers.
The game was tied 17-17 at halftime before Stratford outscored Edgar 32-17 in the second half.
Stratford made 12 of 17 free throws in the second half to put the game away.
Stratford’s next game is Nov. 28 at Tomah.
