EDGAR – Auburndale opened up a double-digit lead by halftime and rolled to a 58-21 victory over Edgar in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday at Edgar High School.
The Apaches improve to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Marawood South as they stopped a two-game losing skid. Edgar is now 2-5 and 0-4 in Marawood South play.
Auburndale led 21-7 at halftime and put up 37 more points in the second half on its way to the victory.
Marissa Ponshock had 14 points, and Natalie Aue had 10 points and nine rebounds to lead Auburndale.
Auburndale hosts Abbotsford on Friday.
