MARSHFIELD – Jenna Jakobi scored 25 points and Marshfield overcame 19 turnovers to knock off Hudson 67-63 in a game at the Marshfield Girls Basketball Holiday Tournament on Wednesday night at Marshfield High School.
Jakobi was 6 of 9 from the field and made 13 of 17 free throws to lead the Tigers’ to the win. Katie Osinski added 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting, and Marshfield shot 57 percent (20 of 35) overall from the field and 27 of 42 at the free throw line.
Hudson (4-6) led 35-32 at halftime before the Tigers rallied to take the win.
Marshfield (3-5) forced 24 turnovers and the Raiders were just 12 of 21 from the free throw line.
Wausau West defeated Oshkosh North 99-83 in the other first-round game Wednesday.
Marshfield plays Oshkosh North at 3:15 p.m. Thursday to complete the two-day tournament.
