MARSHFIELD – Spencer/Columbus won six matches by pin and two more by technical fall to blow past Wautoma/Wild Rose 49-22 in a nonconference wrestling dual Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
Caden Schillinger started off the match for the Rockets with a pin at 160 pounds, and after Wautoma/Wild Rose pulled ahead with three-straight victories, Spencer/Columbus won the next six matches to take control.
Hunter Luepke earned a pin at 220 in just 29 seconds and Logan Zschernitz followed that with a pin at 285.
Ashton Ackman and Dominick Wichlacz won by technical fall, Leo Rodriguez added a 3-0 win, and Jake Dick had a pin at 126 for the Rockets.
Andres Rodriguez (145) and Bryce Shaw (152) finished off the win with two more pins for the Rockets.
Spencer/Columbus will wrestle at the Freedom Invitational on Saturday.
