WAUSAU – Marshfield outscored Wausau East by seven points in overtime to pull out a 63-56 victory in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys basketball game Friday night at Wausau East High School.
Marshfield led 28-21 at halftime before East rallied in the second half to tie the game at 54-54 and send it to overtime.
The Tigers outscored East 9-2 in the extra four-minute period to grab the victory.
Seth Anderson scored 30 points and Reed Miller added 13 points for Marshfield, which improves to 9-10 overall and 7-4 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
The Tigers host Chippewa Falls in a nonconference game Monday in their regular-season home finale.
