MARSHFIELD – Chippewa Falls shot 50 percent from the field and held Marshfield to just 48 points in a 57-48 victory Monday night in a nonconference boys basketball game at Marshfield High School.
The 48 points was the second-lowest total for the Tigers this season. Marshfield was playing its final regular-season home game of the season.
Chippewa Falls (12-8) led 28-23 at halftime and outscored the Tigers by four points in the second half to earn the win.
Marshfield falls to 9-11 this season after losing for the fifth time in its last seven games.
Seth Anderson topped the Tigers with 15 points, Reed Miller added 12, and Anthony Posteluk was 3-for-3 from 3-point range and scored 11.
Tyler Robarge was 7-for-8 from the field and scored a game-high 18 points for the Cardinals.
Marshfield wraps up its Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule Friday at Wausau West and plays at Eau Claire Memorial on Feb. 20 in its regular-season finale.
