Columbus Catholic girls basketball loses Cloverbelt crossover at Altoona

ALTOONA – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team dropped its third-straight game, losing the sixth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers 55-40 at Altoona on Thursday night.

Columbus fell behind by seven points at halftime and did not recover.

Morgan Albrecht drilled four 3-pointers and scored 16 points for the Dons, who fell to 3-8 in their last 11 games after starting the season 8-2.

Columbus Catholic will host Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
