AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team clinched at least a share of the Marawood Conference South Division championship with a 55-36 win over Edgar on Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Colteon Wright scored 18 points, Cooper Weinfurter added 15, and Cale Jacoby had 12 for the Apaches, who are now 18-3 overall and 13-2 in the Marawood South after winning their 10th game in a row.
Auburndale led 31-13 at halftime and held on from there.
Auburndale maintains a one-game lead over Marathon in the Marawood South standings after the Raiders beat Stratford on Friday. Auburndale plays at Stratford and Marathon is at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in the final conference games on Thursday. A win or a Marathon loss gives Auburndale the outright title.
The WIAA playoff brackets will be released on Sunday.
