MARSHFIELD – The top-seeded Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team blasted Tigerton 89-43 in a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Dons dominated from the start, pulling out to a 54-18 lead by halftime, on their way to their 12th-straight win.
Columbus Catholic (21-2) will host Pittsville (8-15) in a regional semifinal at 7 p.m. Friday. Pittsville won at Loyal on Tuesday 54-52. Friday’s game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com.
Tigerton ends its season with a 2-21 record.
Columbus Catholic had 13 different players score in the victory, with Noah Taylor and Nick Malovrh reaching double figures.
