MAUSTON – Mosinee scored four times in the top of the fifth inning to outlast Marshfield 7-6 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Woodside Sports Complex.
Marshfield led 5-3 after scoring three times in the third inning and once in the fourth, but the big inning by Mosinee put the Indians ahead to stay.
Mosinee had eight hits and took advantage of seven walks to pull out the victory.
Isaiah Baierl had two of Marshfield’s five hits, including a double, and Brandon Montalvo drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers.
Marshfield (0-2) is schedule to open its Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule at Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday and will head back to Mauston to play a conference doubleheader against Stevens Point on Friday.
