SPENCER – The Spencer baseball team posted its second win of the season with a 13-4 victory over Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Thursday at Spencer High School.
The game was moved from Marshfield to Spencer due to wet field conditions at Hackman Field.
Colteon Schillinger, Hunter Luepke, Carson Hildebrandt and Tanner Kleinschmidt each had two hits and two RBIs for the Rockets (2-0 overall and Cloverbelt East).
The game was the season opener for Columbus Catholic.
Kleinschmidt earned the win for Spencer, allowing two hits and no earned runs in six innings of relief, while striking out three.
Spencer will play at Gilman on Friday, while Columbus is scheduled to play at Owen-Withee on Tuesday.
