Elhendy-Gunnarsson wins four events as Marshfield takes second at D.C. Everest Boys Track Invite

WESTON – Adam Elhendy-Gunnarsson won four events to help Marshfield to a second-place finish at the D.C. Everest Boys Track & Field Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

D.C. Everest won the team title with 205.75 points, edging Marshfield, which finished with 200.25 points.

Elhendy-Gunnarsson won the long jump (20 feet, 11 inches), the 100-meter dash (11.50 seconds), the 200 (23.27), and the 400 (54.44) for the Tigers.

Addison Hill won a pair of events for Marshfield, taking first in the 800 (2:09.27) and the 1,600 (4:48.71), and Adam Maki tied for first in the pole vault (12-0) for the Tigers’ other three first-place finishes.

Marshfield also had three second-place finishes. The 400 relay team of Bradley Dickinson, Neinast, Bentley Schwanebeck-Ostermann, and Garrett Holland was second in 47.51, Quinton Alexander took second in the shot put (44-5), and Joey Goettl was second in the triple jump (40-5).

Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Relays on Tuesday at Goerke Field in Stevens Point.
