SPARTA – The Marshfield boys golf team finished fifth out of 10 teams in the Division 1 field at the Singh Grewal Invitational on Saturday at River Run Golf Course.
Middleton had four top-10 finishers and won the team title with a score of 324, 15 shots ahead of second-place Tomah. Marshfield was fifth with a score of 346, just one shot out of fourth and five behind third-place Holmen.
Cole Hanson led the Tigers with an 85, tying for 11th place. Josh Gruen shot an 86, Ben Baur had and 87, Jeffery Berres shot an 88, and Nate Boson had a 93 for Marshfield.
Marshfield will compete at the second Wisconsin Valley Conference meet on Tuesday at Pine Valley Golf Course in Marathon.
