Marshfield softball hits five homers in win at Mosinee

MOSINEE – The Marshfield softball team hit five home runs to surge past Mosinee 7-5 in a nonconference game Monday.

The Tigers trailed 4-1 before rallying to pull ahead with a three-run sixth inning.

Megan Donahue hit a pair of solo home runs, and Emily Draeger, Kate Konrady, Rhiannon Corozolla, and Brianna Jakobi also hit solo homers for the Tigers (10-2).

Jordan Pretsch added a single, a double, and two RBIs, and Draeger also had a double for the Tigers.

Donahue earned the win on the mound, striking out six in five innings, and Konrardy got the save with two scoreless innings of relief.

Marshfield hosts Stevens Point on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in its home opener.
