AUBURNDALE – Auburndale took advantage of 11 walks to rout Wausau Newman Catholic 15-3 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Friday at Auburndale High School.
The Apaches scored seven runs in the first two innings, then put the game away with an eight-run fourth, winning via the 10-run rule after 4½ innings.
Cooper Weinfurter allowed two runs and scattered seven hits in a complete-game effort to earn the victory for Auburndale (4-4, 3-4 Marawood South).
Ryan Isaacson had three doubles and four RBIs, and Colton Wright drive in five runs and had two hits for the Apaches.
Auburndale will play at Wausau Newman (0-4 overall and Marawood South) on Monday.
