Marshfield girls fourth at Merrill Invitational

MERRILL – The Marshfield girls track team finished fourth out of 11 teams at the annual Otto Bacher Invitational on Friday at Merrill High School.

The Marshfield boys did not compete.

Marshfield racked up 94 points, finishing just three points behind third-place Wausau East. Medford won the meet with 119 points, with Lakeland second with 102.

Marshfield had five top-three finishes, including one individual champion as senior Katie Osinski won the discus with a toss of 100 feet, 1 inch.

Gracie Holland was second in the pole vault (10 feet) and third in the triple jump (32-7), Lindsey Steffen finished third in the high jump (5-0), and senior Sophia Schrodi was third in the 3,200 meters (12:30.16).

Marshfield will next compete at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational on May 11.
