Columbus Catholic baseball falls at Greenwood

GREENWOOD – Greenwood remained unbeaten in Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball play with an 11-6 victory over Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Monday.

Greenwood raced out to a 7-1 lead after three innings and staved off a late rally by the Dons (1-6, 1-3 Cloverbelt East) with a four-run sixth inning.

Devin Toburen had a double and three RBIs, and scored twice for Greenwood (4-2, 4-0 Cloverbelt East).

Evan Dieringer went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Columbus offense.

Columbus Catholic hosts Colby on Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field beginning at 4:30 p.m.
