Auburndale softball roughs up Newman Catholic

WAUSAU – The Auburndale softball team took advantage of 10 walks and cracked 12 hits to down Wausau Newman Catholic 16-5 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Monday at Sunnyvale Park.

Auburndale scored in each of the five innings, scoring seven times in the top of the fifth and ending the game due to the 10-run rule.

Mackenzie Raab went 4-for-5 and scored four runs, Hannah Bolder had a single, a double and four RBIs, and Alexis Soppe and Maggie Willfahrt each added two RBIs for the Apaches (4-5, 3-5 Marawood South).

Auburndale hosts Stratford on Tuesday at 4:45 p.m.
