Auburndale baseball rolls past Stratford

AUBURNDALE – Auburndale scored all 10 of its runs in the final three innings to surge past Stratford 10-3 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Tuesday at Auburndale High School.

Stratford scored three runs in the top of the fourth to bust open a scoreless game before Auburndale erupted with four runs in the fourth. The Apaches added another in the fifth and scored five in the sixth to put the game away.

Colton Wright went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Cooper Weinfurter had two hits and two RBIs, and Cody Trowbridge had a double and three RBIs for Auburndale.

Cam Ertl threw a complete game to earn the victory for the Apaches, striking out four.

Stratford statistics were not reported.

The two teams will play again Thursday at Stratford.
