MARSHFIELD – Bryce Fuerlinger pitched six innings of shutout ball to help the Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team to a 5-1 win over Colby on Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field.
Fuerlinger allowed three hits and four walks in his six innings of work, striking out three. Will Boyer allowed a run in the seventh inning to finish off the win.
The Dons scored three times in the bottom of the first and added two more in the second to provide all the offense they would need.
Eden Jacobson had two hits and scored twice, and Evan Dieringer had a single, a double, and an RBI for Columbus.
Columbus (2-6, 2-3 Cloverbelt East) is off until Monday when it plays at Gilman.
