Marshfield boys tennis whips Wausau West to wrap up WVC dual meet title

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield completed its second-straight undefeated Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet season with a dominating 6-1 victory over Wausau West on Thursday at the Boson Courts.

Marshfield won six of the seven matches, all in straight sets, and lost just a total of five games in those wins.

Sam Haessly (No. 2 singles), Eric Myklejord (No. 4 singles), and the No. 3 doubles team of Will Fay and Ayush Shukla each blanked their opponents, winning 6-0, 6-0.

Marshfield finishes the dual schedule with a perfect 5-0 and will look for the overall conference title when it competes at the 2018 Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Tennis Tournament next Thursday, May 17, at Wausau East.
