Stratford comes back to beat Rib Lake

RIB LAKE – Stratford wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a 7-4 nonconference win over Rib Lake in baseball action Tuesady.

The Tigers trailed 4-1 after four innings before scoring twice in the fifth and four times in the sixth to pull out the victory.

Chandler Schmidt picked up the win with three shutout innings and six strikeouts.

Mark Handrick and Mav Liccairdi each had two RBIs, and Lance Heidmann and Schmidt both went 2-for-4 for Stratford (11-5).

Stratford will host Colby in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal on Thursday at 4:45 p.m.
